The Conservatory Cafe

“The Conservatory Café” has been an integral part of life at Morningside Care Home for almost 8 years now, the café has operated weekly as a meeting place for service users however we have combined the café where relatives and residents come together to incorporate a place for prospective families and service users to meet with current service users and utilise a ‘buddy’ system.

This ‘buddy system’ provides reassurance and support to families referred by Social Work and CPN services through their journey into care and support is given by our staff together with relatives, friends and service users.

We bring the local community into the café including Local Primary and Secondary Schools, Local Councillor, local Businesses, Community groups including Newmains Gala Committee, local Advocacy Services and Alzheimer Scotland, and offer training and support from within our organisation.
